Someone asked me the other day. Why start a Radio Station that will primarily focus on Independent (Indie) Music? At first I was taken aback. Why, you ask? Because the person who asked me is, himself a struggling musician. I had to think about my reply for a minute. Then it came to me. Because I LOVE music. Rock music in particular and Metal music to be exact. That said...

I couldn't help but think about all the great and not so great bands on the Indie Circuit, all of whom are just trying as hard as they can to get people to listen. Maybe people will or won't listen to this station. We don't know. Seems like there's a bit of excitement building around this project. And if we can help get one band a break, because someone, somewhere heard their stuff on our station. Then we did what we set out to do.

It would seem to me that many of the established main stream bands have forgotten the days of when they relied on people to trade their tapes (demos) or talk em up to anyone who would listen. The day's of tape trading died with the cassette tape. The mp3 isn't quite held in the same regard and lets be honest, if you we're around then you know there's nothing quite like listening to a poorly recorded cassette tape and wondering to yourself "can this band make it, will they be as huge as (fill in your own blank?"

That's the void we will try and fill at Insane Realm Radio. Some of the stuff you may hear, might not be of the best quality. But know this some band put their heart and soul into it and we love em for it.
